Well not the knees, just the scabs.
Pony had quite thick scabs behind his knees - I think a remnant of having mites. He's been dectomaxed (last 2 Autumns) and hasn't chewed his legs or stamped or been really itchy for over a year (got mildly itchy around last Sept but was dectomaxed within a week which stopped that).
The scabs seem to always be there, sometimes they are less but recently they have become more. He's a native so there's lots of hair there - I've chopped it all off the backs of his knees twice over winter which has helped get to the scabs but they still haven't gone.
Any ideas about something to get rid of them, I almost feel I need something that will soften them up a bit?
Thanks
