My stinky Setter wee'd on my office floor a couple of days ago (she gets a bit incontinent and forgets:D ) obviously I mopped it all up. Now 3 days later I am dying in my office - it stinks!!! Ive mopped it more times than soft mick, windows open etc. Is there a magic cleaner out there than will eliminate the smell - i'm working from home today and am about to expire:eek:

This is the advice I got:

Biological washing powder, diluted 1 part powder to 10 parts water (be careful, this may stain!)
Wash thoroughly with the solution
Leave to dry
Wipe over with surgical spirit

Does seem to work!

Wow just gotta love dogs 1st off dont use bleach to clean it as it has ingrediants(could not think of better word)that smell to the dog like wee.so may resoil, what flooring is it???you dident say.carpet i assume?"wash and get off" is pretty good,if using any cleaners etc try on a bit of unseen flooring 1st as it may stain, try lifting the carpet,if it is carpet as may of soaked into the underlay or flooring underneath esp if its absorbent like mdf. That may be the source of your smell.Good luck:)

There is a (fairly expensive) product called (interestingly!) Urine Off, that does the job. Also Simple Solution Stain and Odour Remover.

had this with our puppy- she peed on pretty much every inch of the carpet before she was housetrained.

last resort, i mixed some washing powder and a squirt of bleach. carpet was already filthy (high traffic area) so just sort of sloshed it on, couldnt look any worse! worked brilliantly, carpets cleaner than its been for ages and doesnt smell

I've used Wash and Get Off from Pets at Home (nice citronella smell) which seems to work pretty well for the odd bi of scent marking we have had.

There is also Odor Kill, which is cheaper than Urine Off. You can also wash the area with washing up liquid, then rub in Bicarbonate of Soda, let it dry and hoover it off.
