Getting there but need to be more forward?

My mare had issues with accepting a contact. We are getting there slowly. She is relaxing more and mouthing the bit which is great. She still needs to be more forward as she finds it difficult working round and forward at the same time. What exercises would help with keeping her relaxed but striding out?

it all depends on the horse really, taz needs a good forty minute warm up going round like a donkey before i can ask him to go long and low for ten mins then get him more uphill, whereas with my friends horse that i compete, who is older than taz he is just right there on the contact working properly.

As for excersises try play with your collection and extention work, and also lots of transitions in the paces, like go from collected trot to working trot then try get a few medium strides and then back to collected..things like that really
