For those that read my previous posts about my loan horse I just wanted to give a quick update. I've had her for 3 weeks now and this week I managed my first canter on her. Not a massive step for most people, I know, but I've had a lot of trouble with my confidence. I've been managing to ride every day after work (in the dark!) and on Wednesday my fabulous OH gave me a great lesson and spurred me on. Horsey was ace. I'm proper enjoying her now. Still haven't got the confidence to hack out properly yet, but we're getting there.

Just wanted to share x

Fantastic! Sometimes it does take a bit of time to get to grips with a new equine member of the family. When I bought my anglo-arab we hated each other for the first 6 weeks! He tried to put me over a cliff on the common, he put me into a brick wall, he fell over on top of me... but then we suddenly clicked! It's just coming up to 16 years now since I bought him & he's still with us and cheeky as ever although he is going to be 22 this year

Now I dread the day when he is no longer around as I can't imagine not having F running my little 'herd' and bouncing down the road when I ride him.

So pleased you are happier now
