I've had this pony nearly 18 months now, he is rising three

His last owners did a lot of groundwork with him, he was quiet and co-operative when I viewed him and initially when I got him home. Then he went completely feral and I thought that he would come round so left him but to be honest that was a bit of a cop out because I wasnt sure how to proceed (he has been gelded, vet checked, teeth done and feet trimmed - I didnt neglect his health!)

I have been making huge efforts to handle him recently and tonight we reached a little milestone which I am thrilled about :) He doesnt need a rug but this was part of a bigger aim involving rustly flapping material

I have found someone locally who can help me with the next steps so hopefully things will continue to improve!

Well apparently its a well known fact that measuring sticks eat ponies but with a non scientific measure using the bricks around the window minus the depth of bedding I reckon he is about 12.2

More progress today, I managed to get him in to a rug that fitted so now I know what size he needs :)

I havent managed to get the fillet string under his tail though either by looping it through or undoing it and passing it under, he clamps his tail down hard and starts to panic if you try and lift it - I guess thats just a matter of consistent desensitisation though
