Day three is big change from day one much more relaxed. He still has the odd tantrum, he is now learning that he can't get away with any stroppy antics :D
A good variety of work today. Armas still needs to stretch and work much more from his hind amongst other things.

Spanish walk is coming along nicely he is getting the basics. Today we worked in hand and whilst ridden.

This is the happiest and most relaxed I have ever seen this horse go. He is starting to accept the contact and has stopped maniacally rushing around, you must be thrilled. Yes he had a couple of minor tantrums but David said 'I'm here, get on with it mate', lovely to watch this rider. He got a little confused with the Spanish Walk but that is to be expected and, again, David dealt with it quietly.

This trainer is the best thing you could ever have done for Armas :)

It was interesting to watch the canter improve after the counter canter, prior to that it was almost 4 time, a common problem with PREs, as they are lazy so and so's who would rather bounce up and down than go forward :D

Good stuff can't wait for day 4's update.
Just a thought have you access to an equine physio or a body worker ? Having them weekly or even twice a week of as you go through this month might help you get the maximum out of it .

Sadly not one that is close however there is a Vet but he cost £200 per visit:eek: Todays morning session was much shorter 25 mins. He was well behaved concentrated and carried out his work with out a problem. Hence we stopped early.

Fingers crossed that Armas has figured out he needs to just get on with it ;-) Hopefully he will be the same this afternoon.

Cripes that's steep , do some passive stretching with him your self that will help.
We are spoilt round here There are two livery yards within two miles of my home on one an excellent equine physio keeps her fresian and on the other a super bodyworker keeps her boy both are friends and easy to draft in when needed .

I do try and stretch him out, if you saw yesterdays video David was also attempting to ask Armas to bring his head round to his side to help make hime more supple.

I have been following your progress with Armas & he is looking much more relaxed in this video from the first. Look forward to following his progress through out the month :D

I have a horse that is also weak on his back end & I have been having physio who has told me to do lots of stretching with him etc & also to lunge him in a Equiami :)
