My new horse constantly gets his tongue over the bit, ive had his teeth done, back checked etc. Ive tried loads of different snaffle's etc. If I do the noseband up really tight and put on a flash he just leans and gets strong and puts his head in the air, its driving me absolutely crazy - as soon as you put the bridle on he starts, he flips his tongue over and flips it back, then you'll see his tongue hanging out the side of his mouth. ---- I dont know what to do - help !!! Previous owner said he never done it with her !

Have you tried raising the bit in his mouth?
Have you tried a proper drop noseband as opposed to a tight cavesson and flash?

A horse putting their tongue over the bit is a sign that the bit is uncomfortable or not to their liking. Strapping the mouth shut is ignoring the problem, rather than solving the root cause

Unfortunately this might be a costly exercise, but you need to find a bit your horse likes - since the problem is the tongue, I'd got for tongue relief - so try a tongue saver, verbindend or dynamic bit (in order of cost!)

Failing that I would then move onto mylers and try some different mouthpieces
