Any shampoos or magical formulas for removing poo stains from my coloured mare? Spent a long time scrubbing with a blue shampoo and stain remover to no avail and still had a yellow tinge.

Had most of her covered with a combo rug but she made up for it on her legs!

Thanks :)

Red Rum stain remover is good stuff....spot wash with water as warm as you can stand and one of those body puff type things as you can get a good scrub on. Best to do it regularly to keep them clean....once you let the stain sit it's much harder to get off!

Cowboy Magic green spot remover, I have been told, is simply amazing. My friend has a traditional coloured cob with masses of white feather, and she washes with Wahl Diamond White shampoo (always with warm/hot water, it doesn't work with cold), then puts the Cowboy Magic on the yellow stains round the bottom of his feathers. And he scrubs up a treat, his white bits sparkle!
I have a coloured hunter type youngster and used Wahl diamond white shampoo on his legs when I was dithering over whether to keep his feathers (he is Irish cob X ISH) for showing, but he had a huge growth spurt and looked silly as a lanky traditional type, so I whipped off his feathers and pulled his mane. Next season I will be using sheep face whitener for his legs, you paint it on, leave to dry - it turns from a paste into a chalky layer - and brush off the next morning for the show. X
