Hi there,
Have any of you got any tried and tested tips you can give me on getting white training wraps and dressage saddle cloths/numnahs really white again after use?
I have tried washing in machine with vanish and although it does clean them up quite well, they are still not great!
Thanks in advance! :p

Washing super regularly in the first place helps - once they are a bit grimy I find it hard to get them back. Strange as it seems, washing at too high a temp will make whites less bright. I just wash mine in persil bio powder on a 40deg wash with extra rinse before and after. If they are already a bit grubby looking and have lost that bright whiteness then net curtain whitener (comes in a small box from most supermarkets) brings them up well as it contains optical brighteners.

I asked this very question last year, a few times actually, also in CR's.

I tend to make the mistake of washing on a higher temp then shrinking them :o I know have a nice little collection of lovely pony sized dressage squares.

I find it easier to just buy a new one each time, then use the drab/boot stained ones for everyday use!

dont let them get too dirty to start with. i tend to keep white things for best/outings/lessons and have either old whites to use on a daily basis (tho never in the winter) or dark saddle cloths and boots/bandages for every day wear. soaking in biotex before washing on a 30 wash works well.

Also Dr Glowwhite goes in all my white washes and again, I keep my whites for competitions only - they are used, put straight into a bag and washed when I get home. I also do wear jogging bottoms over my white breeches and if we are going to be hanging around at a show for a while, will change out of my breeches.. Bit anal but had far too many spoilt and its too expensive!
