Am looking for a new synthetic for my cob, have always liked GFS leather saddles but don't know anything about the synthetic adjustable version. Anyone got any experience of them? Thanks

I gave recently bought a new GFS Genesis saddle for my hard to fit cob and I have to say I really like it. I find it comfortable and it is very lightweight which, as I have arthritis in my neck and shoulder, is very welcome!

I have one and it's a beautiful saddle - BUT I cannot get it to fit Shy, despite having three gullets . It is just too tight at the front for a wide cob, and caused a lot of bucking when I tried it out.

Thanks for that, my cob has quite a high wither and then widens out to quite big shoulders, he's not the classic no- wither barrel type, so maybe it might be suitable for him. Will see if I can get hold of one to try. :)

Love mine :D I have the equisuede one and it is almost as new despite 3 years of abuse :D It is super comfy and has fit a high withered TB and a non withered cob thanks to my saddler who custom shapes the gullet plates to fit rather than going with standard shape :D It's been reflocked, unstuffed and tweaked all over and never had any bother fitting it (unless the neds have changed).

It is super light too - much easier to carry about :D

My cob is also not the classic no-wither barrel type and finding a saddle that fitted was extremely difficult. My saddle fitter made a few slight modifications to the Genesis and it fits perfectly :)
