I am on the ever ending hunt for a saddle that fits my short, flat backed welsh D. Currently in a Thorowgood T4 Cob, but its slipping a bit. I had the fitter out at the start of the summer and it was adjusted accordingly, but as my girl is only 6 and just really starting out in regular work I don't want to spend a fortune as I know she will change shape so much. Changes are already appearing.

Any experience of K&M or GFS range?

Thanks

I have a GFS haflinger for my flat backed, portly hafflinger, I really like it, I'm also (after seeking advice from a master saddler) going to use it to back my welsh d at the end of the year as it has exchangeable gullets. They are a bit rocking horse poo to find second hand though.

We've got a Kent and Masters GP for our ISH. She's 6 so also just starting out with "proper" work and will prob change. She's very Thoroughbredy and has very high withers. So far so good with the saddle.

Kent and MAsters and Thorowgood are both made by Fairfax so a thorowgood cob and a k and m cob will be a similar/ the same fit. I had a T4 cob and found that she grew out of it into a normal T4 gp as she developed withers
