Do any of you have one? I haven't seen one in the flesh but am watching a couple on ebay at the moment.

Do you like them? what is the quality like? What is the fit like? Yay or nay basically :)

Any thoughts greatly apprciated!

I have had a gfs pro vsd

I didn't really like it, it wasn't very comfortable and the leather was quite hard and it put me in an awful position it almost pushed me forward in the saddle and my legs would come back
I got rid of it as I actually didn't fit on it ie my legs had come right off the knee rolls!
It's a nice looking saddle but compared to my Jeffries the leather is hard especially on the flaps of the saddle
Although they are very good value for money !

I think so much of saddle buying is your physical conformation, your horses conformation etc after all not one body and not one horses back are the same.

I have never had a GFS so I can't help but one thing I can say is, they seem to hold a decent second hand price, so if you buy, try and you don't like - you shoudnt have any issue selling it on.

I've got a GFS Pro Event saddle and I love it. Find it very comfortable.
When I bought my new mare I got a saddle with her and hated it and didnt like the fit. Got saddle fitter out and they adjusted my GFS so I could use it on her. Cant believe how much more comfortable it made me. lol

I have just got the vsj xch and i'am impressed with it so far, the leather is soft and i its very comfortable and i feel secure, and fits the horse very well, when buying a new one they do a 14 day trial period so you can see if it suits you and your horse.

I've had a Pro event for many years, it's very comfortable. (At the time I bought it, it was the only saddle which fitted me and my horse, which we both liked.)

I have a GFS Avant, it's lovely to look at and fits the horse well but I hate sitting on it! It's too wide in the twist for me and puts me into the oddest leg position. I get a sore back if I'm on it for any length of time so I only use my Ideal Grandee instead. However my sharer loves the GFS, thinks it's the most comfprtable saddle she has ever sat in. Just shows everyone is different.

I've recently bought a GFS XCH for my wide mare, absolutely lovely. Really comfy and fits her like a glove. Adjustable too, which is handy for those fat moments - ahem I mean muscle ;)
