Hi,

I was just wondering what the general feeling about GFS saddles are.

I am looking at getting a 15in GFS General Advantage for my Daughters New Forest (who isn't the easist to fit! Synthetics don't seem to suit her at all). The saddler did say he always reflocks the GFS ones as the flocking they use is very hard so he replaces with british wool.

I don't have an unlimited budget and very few 2nd hand 15in seem to come up. I'm not sure I like the idea of buying online and then getting it fitted as not really sure what we need and I'll send up paying the saddler a fortune in repeat visits!

Thanks

I've just been fitted with one for my new boy and have it on a weeks trial. So far so good - it fits me really well and horsey seems to like it. I would recommend I think

I have one fr my new forest- bought it a few years ago and still in great conditiotn - it hasnt been particularly well looked after and has been used loads - I love it to pieces! Mines a 16" Medium/Wide Junior VSD. Not junior any more mind but I hav ent grown since I bought it. Think mine was about £400 new in a sale.

Just been looking at them today, can't comment on fitting etc but really don't look great to me. As I said, just going on looks.
