Gift idea

Can anyone give me an idea of what to buy a friend and her teenage daughter (14yrs) as a gift after their old pony crossed the rainbow bridge today. I don’t want to go overboard with a gift as although a friend there are not close (if you you know what I mean). TIA

Horsehair set in resin is nice imo but I assume you don't have any.

I lost one last year and just a message recognising my loss was appreciated, I'm not a fan of 'stuff'.

A lovely photo framed would be a nice gesture. Our Tesco has a Max Spielmann branch in it and they took a picture off my phone, tweaked it a bit and the end result was so lovely, put it in a simple wooden frame, whole cost was £12.

After losing my heart horse very unexpectedly, a friend bought me a small necklace with forget-me-nots in resin as the charm. I didn’t take it off for several years and it’s probably one of the most thoughtful gifts I’ve ever received.

I’m sure they will appreciate any gift you give. The gesture meant so much to me, that people were thinking of me.

There’s lots of nice things on Etsy. I got my sister a personalised photo frame with her dogs name on it and put a nice photo of him in.

I also bought my cousin a water colour print of her pony as a gift.

you got to choose the colours and picture. This was an old photo, a newer one would come out clearer.

I've bought people keyrings with their horse's photo in. You can get some nice, solid metal ones, rather than just cheap plastic.

Also agree with this - I still have the card that the vet who put my first pony to sleep sent me nearly 15 years ago

I've got these cute little stirrup Key rings with my horses names engraved into them. Got the last one from etsy and its lovely.
