Posting here as is bling and matchy matchy central :D A friend of mine has been letting me ride her lovely horse for the last few months, and refuses any payment in return. I'd like to get her a gift to show my appreciation, but am stuck for inspiration. She's very dressage ;) Any ideas - preferably around the £50 - £100 mark?

Ive just ordered my rider who competes and schools regularly for me, a Pikeur Crystal Belt which looks lovely. You could have a look on Dressage Deluxe they have also sorts of things including gift vouchers.

Like the idea about the BD convention, but as she has lots of horses, she has very few free weekends!

Can't do the kur unfortunately (I've already bought my ticket, but stupidly booked a ski trip for the same week!).

Loving the Pikeur belt, that might be just the ticket.

Thanks all :)

A bit of internet shopping should give you some ideas....Dressage Deluxe, Morgan Equine and For Riders have some lovely bits and pieces. Or if you think she'd fancy something a bit different, www.western-scene.uk.com has some really nice blingy cowgirl belts and jewellery :D

Where can I find another you please? Not for the belt, but just because I'd die for someone to give me that opportunity! Lucky person!!!

She's been with me for 6 years and brought the horse on from a 5year old. Through the good and bad she has stuck with me and has never once let me down. She came to me straight out of Plymouth University at 21 years old.

She always rings if she is stuck in traffic (she works in London) or for some reason cant make it which is hardly ever. She schools and rides about 3 to 4 nights a week and I hack the mare out one morning each week and I do all the feeding and looking after the horse. Vanessa competes her at weekends. The only thing I ask her to pay for is her lessons which she is more than happy to do as a previous rider who I had and had paid for her lessons promptly buggered off to ride an older horse albeit only at unaffilliated and left me with a young horse which has been especially bought for her after I lost my old girl, and had been professionally broken in for her to ride. But that's people for you, some people dont know when they have it good.

The mare has now got 150 points and won the qualifier elementary 57 at Pachesham on Sunday and was 2nd in only her second medium test with 61.72% and has now qualified for the Winter Regionals at elementary.

There I have now told you my life story. Sorry for going of original thread.
