Hi just wanted to know what people are getting there horsey companions my horse is spoilt at the best of times might get him a simple system salt lick in a bucket and a Guinness for his Xmas day dinner x

I'll probably get him a saddle pad and some coloured exercise bandages. Something practical. He doesn't get many treats.

Mine get a hot feed on Christmas day :) Also, I'm sad and hang carrots up around our youngsters box. My 5yo doesn't seem to be interested if anything is too hard to get, but our 2yo is great to watch figuring how to get carrots and apples off of string :)

I'm such a big kid..

Haven't decided on the Christmas present yet but have just ordered my mare some horse clippers for MY birthday! LOL. Gonna have my first ever attempt at clipping, how hard can it be!?!? Thankfully she is an angel to clip & I am a hairdresser so I'm hoping that will help! Yikes, could be famous last words!! :D

I do my livery horses a little 'stocking' with treats such as an apple, a couple of carrots, a packet of polos then something like a hoof pick or lead rope....

Mine gets nothing as is spoilt all year round!

My lad is having one of those large seedy likits for Christmas - not the ball shaped - as he ends up sticky all around his face and a new Stubben body brush.

Have my eye on a rather fetching chocolate dressage pad, with blue piping as well, if he's a good boy ......

My boy gets a hot feed most days when it's cold during the winter - spoilt much?! :o :p

Do you do that as a treat or because it is easier to soak feeds?

Mine do every day, simply because it suits me to soak everything with hot water, easier to dole out when it isn't frozen ;)

Mine always get a hot bran mash with a little bit of honey mixed in - only for Christmas and birthdays - and they absolutely love it!

Ive also got them the seasonal Likits this year, which they shall get on Christmas day. Also getting Nelson some clippers - make him look all fancy! Phoebe's getting a new cart,so i can continue her driving, aannddd im sure they shall have a "goodie bag" as well, full of yummy treats curtacy of my mother. :3

I was going to treat my mare to a new browband for christmas, but have now decided to just spoil her with lot's of yummy feeds and treats..thought she'd appreciate that more :p

I'm treating him to a horse hair bracelet which I shall wear on his behalf...he's even offered a chunk of his tail to be used, now that's what I call a good partnership ;)

Well considering my mare (who I brought in march) has already had a new saddle, new wardrobe of winter turnouts, some clippers and now a nice warm stable rug this year I'd say she has had christmas already :)

Guinness?? As in....the popular Irish dry stout?
Well I suppose it does smell a bit like haylege!

Mine will be getting a couple of carrots and parsnips, some broccoli, maybe some cabbage and probably a mince pie. Her owner will bring her more presents and probably feed her some chicken or summat. Cause apparently she likes chicken. *sigh*
Weather permitting shell also have a graze on the park with her buddies. We don't have turnout in winter so they don't get much grass at this time of year.
