Ginger and Rummy - on SPOTY .....

For those of you who saw this before, it's worth watching again, and for those of you (sickeningly ) too young to have seen it, this is why Ginger and Rummy were so special.

He was such a beautiful horse, I remember seeing him in the flesh as a teenager, and he had presence to burn.

Have to say it brings a tear to my eye when I see him recognise Tommy Stack's voice on the live feed!

Time does not diminish the beauty and presence of that horse - superstar from the tip of his ears to the end of his tail. I wish Ginger could be buried next to him at Aintree.....

Thankyou for posting that I was born in the year he won his first national so don't really remember him at Aintree but I have watched re-runs of his races
