What face moisturiser do you guys use?!
We have recently moved to a small hill farm and my skin is getting constantly battered by wind and rain, so gets very dry. However as my skins is naturally quite oily, as soon as I use a richer moisturiser I come out in teenage spots!
Thanks for any recommendations!
 
I use Nivea Cream (blue pot) it helps me, I am battered by 'weather' everyday, it is really thick, creamy and moisturising - I sound like and ad on tv - 'because your worth it'

I had a facial for the first time ever a few months ago, she used Dermalogica products. Im a convert, my face has never been better, I use their Ultracalming cleanser (great for weathered red cheeks!), toning protective spray and Barrier Repair, which is a moisturiser, Im not sure the barrier repair would be ok used alone as its like a gel. Apparantly its used by loads of 'outside' people. Its not cheap but lasts ages.
 
I like the Liz Earle stuff - it's not cheap but it seems to last for ages and provide good protection without being greasy. You can order from their website if you google it.
 
Thanks so much for replies to such a girly request! Keep coming with the suggestions as I spent £30 2 weeks ago for some none pore blocking intensive moisturiser but came up in 3 massive spots overnight - think what I could have bought for the horses for that amount.......

ps for those that have suggested nivea I find it too greasy -
maybe I should go into one of those posh department stores, wellies and all, and ask for their advice lol!!!!!!!!
 
I also use the clean and clear that was mentioned earlier.
BUT..if I had enough cash for it I think I'd probably use the dermalogica stuff too as it really really seems good.
 
I find that Vichy face moisturiser is good, doesn't bring you out in spots, and you can get a matt version, so helps to combat shine issues too!

SIANA SKIN KIND from ALDI - every time, at about £1.50 a pot, which lasts for ages.
I used to spend an absolute fortune on my face (could have bought a decent horse with the money I wasted) and have discovered over many years that the most expensive is not always the best. ALDI also do the SIANA Hand Cream which is wonderful. None of the products are greasy - very light and just sink in. Just remember when you are out battling against the elements - that rainwater is, supposedly, very good for the complexion!!
 
I have dry, sensitive skin and can't use Nivea or Simple (weirdly as its supposed to be for sensitive skin but it brings me out in a rash!).

I use Palmers Cocoa Butter (so does my OH!) which is great but may be a bit rich if you have oily skin. I also love the Lush range and their moisturisers are fabulous as well as being natural.

You might not love the LUSH Range quite so much when you look at their Chosen Charity!!
 
I always wear a tinted moisturiser as it helps protect against uv as well as the general weathering that your skin gets from being outdoors, I use a Boots no7 one and it's about £10 and lasts ages. At night I use the Boots repair and protect moisturiser. Appears to do the trick!

I can suffer from dry skin but also get spotty like you say if I use anything greasy and also quite sensitive. I splashed out on Elizabeth Arden and Estee Lauder and they both brought me out on blotches!

I use the No7 tinted moisturiser, it's lovely. Recently I've started using Johnsons baby lotion to clean off any make up and then another splodge to rub in all over my face afterwards. And seen a huge difference in my skin. I use it on my horses muzzle too if he ever gets dry from the sun or wind. Such a pampered pone!
 
I have dry, sensitive skin that reacts to extremes such as cold or central heating. Well I did, I now use a Clarins moisturiser that is like a climate control. It's in a blue glass jar, not the cheapest on the market but, lasts quite a long time.

If you go to Clarins in a main store they'll let you a sample if you ask so, you can try before parting with your money.

To avoid spots have you tried a hydrogel moisturiser, oil free and really nice soothing feel. Garnier (I think) do a nice one. In winter, something a bit heavier might be better though. No need to spend megabucks - L'Oreal (includes Garnier), Nivea, Olay spend millions on research into skin products - most of it goes into their everyday products, not the super premium brands.
