Morning all. Hope you are all doing ok. I have a slight puzzle at the moment, and have come to seek your collective wisdom...
Cob has a back like a table, as in wide and flat! No wither to speak of. Have had a saddle fitter out and had a check over to make sure all is well; no problems to report, just that where her girth sits isn't in the 'traditional' girth groove, if the saddle is moved so the the girth sits there, it's halfway up her neck! The only thing that's making me scratch my head it the type of girth I've been told to use... one of the ones with elastic on both sides. I currently use a HY humane girth, as I find I cannot over tighten it, and I can attach to the first and third strap no problems (saddle is a Thorowgood T4 cob, so the third strap is quite far back to offer stability). What girths do people with similarly built equines use/recommend? She's being brought back into hacking (can't really call it work!) slowly, due to an injury on myself, so want her to be comfortable. Thanks for reading
