the ONLY thing working at the moment is a cheap requisite fluffy material girth.
- its not mine for a start but i guess im worried without it being cut away at the elbows it may over time cause girth sores (like so many others have).

Ideally i need an anatomical girth WITH fleece or sheepskin- for less than £100.

It seems impossible according to google.

I would try the prolite version of the Fairfax girth with a sheep skin cover .
I have one horse who despite having a amply wide chest for the standard size is definatly happier in the narrow gauge one so perhaps try to try both .

I was going to suggest looking at the Christ Lammfelle range too. Even with the standard ones, because the sheepskin is backed onto nylon not leather, they are really pliable and don't have anything to rub or dig in. The sheepskin is so soft as well compared to other makes.

Worth keeping an eye on ebay, they have a few secondhand including a contoured dressage one

Or for new I use this seller a lot

Mine has a very forward girth groove, I tried the shaped ones and found they did rub. I ended up with a basic Wintec one made of that spongey sort of grippy material and for my mare with no elastic at the ends (as saddles tend to move on her a bit no matter how well its fitted). Never had a rub yet.
