just wondering what holes you have your girths on and is there a hole they are supposed to be around? i mean like is it supposed to be around the middle of the strap or is it ok if it's on the top holes or top holes etc.?
also, how importnat do you think it is to have the girth on the same holes on both side?
thanks

If they are on the top holes it is uncomfy under your leg and you can't tighten it. If the bottom holes then danger of dropping the girth when tightening it or of your hand slipping off and thumping yourself in the face.

I aim for the middle hole or 1 either side.

I usually have my girth on the 4th holes which is about the middle of the straps. It's best to be using the holes in the middle because you have more room for adjustment. If you have it on the bottom holes it's hard to do up and you can't do it up gradually which isn't very nice for the horse, but if you have it on the top holes you might not be able to get it tight enough and it sits right under your leg.

I have it on the same holes or one hole different each side. I don't think it matters too much although if you have a shaped girth (say a stud girth) on more than a couple of holes different it would be wonky and it's more correct to have it on even holes.
