girth loops help!

I want to attach draw reins to my girth/bit etc

BUT there is no loop on my girth

can i use bailing twine on my girth to attach them too??

or will that rub?

I could do this and pop a girth sleeve on and stick a hole in it if you get me??

I dont really want to have to buy a new girth just yet - any more suggestions??

Do your draw reins not come with the loop with the metal hoop on that you can put round the girth?

I think you can buy loops on eBay? I have used a chopped up lead rope before with no rubbing or soreness (trust me I know all about it!)

Thinned down bailer twine is used by alot of people on the yard I livery at - I guess at least if the s**t hits the fan then it will break?! No rubbing problems, it shouldn't be moving at all.

I didnt want to buy a new girth for it!!! i want to just (hopefully)! use them short term with my young horse who just needs some guidance

Do be daft, no point buying new if you can make do with what you all ready have x

I have elastics and have used a flash to attaché them to a girth if there is no loop.

sometimes i go OTT

theres nothing wrong with my girth but didnt want to piss her off anymore as she wont be impressed with this

i had her going on one with the side reins today, and decided id rather be safer/and would be safer with draw reins!!
(but she did go fantastically in the side reins as it helped her massivly!)
