girth reccomendation please

If pennies are no problem go for the Wow one.
They're not sold in tack shops - you have to buy them from First Thought and it will take about a fortnight for
delivery. BUT well worth the wait as lovely and soft!

I have a normal girth but I know there is a dressage girth version: Professionals Choice Neoprene girth. Pricey but have made me horse so comfortable. h

I had wide string STubben which was good, but he still hated the girth being tightened. With this, for the first time his ears stay forward and he looks relaxed.

I tried just about every girth going and have a fab collection now. Second a vote for the Professional Choice and won't use anything else now.

A few I have know that do dressage rode in thorowgood airform girth's!
I have the *normal* one, I really love it. My boy does get itchy or rubbed etc.
Mines has elastic ends and has been used on *sensitive highland* (not my boy) who took to it very well! :D

If you have issues with enough elbow room with your girths avoid the thorowgood airbourne one as it has made me miss a season of dressage due to girth galls from this girth. We ended up using a caldene full length curved girth (http://www.caldene.co.uk/Girths/overlay-girth.aspx) on the dressage saddle. Unfortunately when I changed my saddle that girth no longer suited my new saddle so I purchased a contour dressage girth which has resulted in further girth galls. My saddler has since been unable to locate a dressage version of the caldene girth.

I have just been on e-bay and fingers crossed the girth that I have purchased will work. It is an FSS German forward cut dressage girth if you want to have a look.

Um, is it poss to give website/details of where to purchase please??? I'd need a normal length girth not a dressage one. Sorry sorry, didn't mean to hijack thread.

The jaguar girths are really good. In leather if you want a posh one or do a synthetic one which I have for my boy and love it
