Very few when I was looking - I tried a fairly traditional straight leather one but horse didn't go particularly well in it.

Ended up swapping to a Harry Dabbs shaped elasticated after recommendations on here and he's much happier (physio commented much less girthy too).

Not advocating elastic necessarily as I know it's not always a plus but I do find if you buy better quality elastic it's a very different product to cheap ones. I had a Hy one as needed one quick and it was all I could get locally and it was horrendous, saddle was all over the place and you could easily stretch it by hand - just not fit for purpose.

I have picked up a few used ones on EBay but hard to find new ones, I have just bought a flexi girth not tried it yet though but my saddle fitter recommended them for stability.

This, though it does depend on your saddle. I find so much elastic is too stretchy, it needs to barely stretch when you pull it between your hands. This https://www.thermatex.co.uk/thermatex/Harry-Dabbs-Platinum-Curved_Waffle_girth.html is the one I carry a demo of and recommend to my customers, but I do fit very slightly differently to SMS type fitters (wider and flatter).

I used a Thorowgood cob girth for years when I had a brown GP saddle. Particularly liked the fact you could just hose it off after a wet or muddy ride!

They're far from the worst but the elastic is a smidge weak and if you use as short a one as possible, which I advise for stability, the padding wrinkles up against the bottom of the flap each time you tighten the girth. Sold everywhere it seems so very popular for sure.

I believe cob versions are non-elasticated (or were when I last bought one). I've changed saddles and girths since so might have all changed now!

Yes it’s just elastic and no elastic really abs I can’t find a leather one with no elastic
My saddler has just recommended the Mattes crescent girth for my cob.
Where are you thinking of getting the Mattes one from of that's what you go for?

The Mattes girths are lovely, I'm a stockist, but they're pricey and I think unless you want sheepskin for sensitivity (not a bad idea) then there are cheaper options.
Could I have details on how to order from you ? Do you have a website? (PM I'd you'd prefer ?) ?
