I have taken a horse on loan who hasn't done a lot of work recently and have hacked him out at the weekend and he now has rather sore looking sores on each side caused by his girth. I cleaned them and out some sudo cream on just to keep the flies off but any ideas on whats best to do ? I seem to remember years ago when we bought the hunters back in to work for the season we used surgical spirit or something to harden the skin the up ?
