The girth straps on my new saddle are really stiff. Whats the best way to soften them up and make the girth easier to fasten.

Koa-cho-line and work them really well with your hands, rolling them and twisting them both ways, same as you would with any new leather.

Usual neatsfoot oil is very good. Otherwise, there's loads of other leather-softening products on the market.
