Hi,
I have a thoroughbred needing a girth does anyone recommend which Is best or what to avoid, I'm thinking a anatomical girth shape? Unsure of brands

Good luck with this! I've found that the horse will choose for themselves, no matter how much effort you put into researching the perfect girth. My saddle fitter recommends the Stubben string girths. (But my horses dont like them). Anatomical girths are useful for horses with a forward girth groove, as they create space round their elbows. Some horses like leather girths, others hate the bulk. What are you using now and do you have any issues with it?

A cheaper end suggestion mine likes it and it washes and dries well is a Shires supafleece anotomical. About £45 and my horse seems pretty happy in it.
Both ends are Elasticated.

After much trial and error, our 3 TB's are in Stubben Equisoft(x 2), Wow Free Space with the sheepskin pad and Whitaker leather Event Girth. We'll probably get another Free-Space to replace one of the Equisofts at some point. It is a good girth, but the Free-Space has made a difference to his muscling. I do like the Event girth on his jump saddle - it is slim, neat and stable, the shape suits him, and it has good elastic. T
