I have to go away for a week at the end of the month with work. The day before I go I will have done a ODE. I am unsure whether to give her the week off or to send her away to be worked? I have never let anyone else ride my horses but may be she could do with a professional SJ or dressage rider to school her.

If you think I should send her away do you know anyone good in Surrey/ Sussex borders?

For me it would totally depend on how much she has done this season and how much she has left to do? When is her next even after you come back? If you have enough time from when you return to keep her fitness up before her next event I would let her have the week off.

Really depends on the horse though, some horses can cope with a week off alot better than others

Sorry Im prob not much help!

not sure how she will react as not really had any time off as such. She is very fit now, until the ground conditions change I am taking it easy on her legs and saving her. I will probably stick to artificial surface comps like Pyecombe and Royal over summer and do some more events in the autumn
