Given up horses

Is there anyone else who has given up horses on here? Forever or for the time being?

I gave up horses a couple of years ago now, mainly due to confidence issues. I got that annoyed with myself I thought it was best to stop. The break has done me a world of good, if I ride now I'm fine. (Okay at a steady pace! Not quite what I used to be) but a lot better.
However I have no ultimate desire to get a horse again at the moment. Yet I am always on horse forums and love to see how my friends neddies are doing etc.

Is anyone else like this? I do miss horses in a way but not ready to have my own again yet. Whether this is down to the fact I am stressed about money I don't know but just don't have the 'mojo'!

I have stepped away for a while since baby went but still come on here,still love to see and hear about friends horses and love talking to daughter about hers in aussie.just dont want them in my life at mo but that will change im sure

I've "given up" horses 3 time now (over 50+ years), all to no avail. So I just accept that they are an addiction and plan to keel over with a muck fork in my hand, hopefully many years from now.
