Reading up on lots of old posts about how peoPle are feeding these...

So I feed x2 a day but I'm keen to make sure pony is eating enough fibre and everything all through winter... I worry infinitely that he won't get enough even though his diet profiles are ok, he is a skinny thing, and it's hard to put weight on him.

I am happy with his feeds I have chosen for winter so not looking to change his main feed, has ad lib hay anyway, would just like to think about other ways to supplement it.

A lot of people suggest in posts giving buckets of soaked grass pellets or alpha beet dotted around the field for the horses to eat outside of their usual feed. Who has done this and found it good? How much did you give? Given there is no concentrate in here I assume they can finish their real feeds and then just come and munch without I'll effects?

The yard feed for me, so just wondering logistically how it would work! I.e. Morning and evening give horses their regular feeds then dot the other buckets around the fence line?

Or is this totally unnecessary!!
