Can anyone recommend a school to the west of Glasgow where I can book some quiet and gentle escorted hacking please? I'm an older recent returner and need to get some low key riding time to build my zero confidence back up. The RS where I have been having lessons do not hack in winter and don't have many places to go anyway. Was thinking possibly Milndavie in Strathblane - used to ride there as a teenager and they had plenty of off road, not been there in 40 years though. Thanks!

Might be abit far out but the Scottish equestrian hotel has some lovely hacking! I haven't been for years but the instructors were all lovely- wouldn't have made you a world nearer but very reassuring. :)

echo this-I went for several hacks and lessons here in the last couple years and they'll do as much or as little as you like-some nice horses as well. Its not that long down the M74.
