So how did everyone do who went?

Was a tad wet for some of us...... I did my XC in driving rain - couldnt actually see the first half of the course!! Literally, I had to get a quick look at the fence then just point and hope for the best! Terrible conditions!!

Coligone woman (!) - I didnt see any of your stuff in the prizes?!! I had a good look for it too! I didnt get any in my prize anyway

Yes, our class definitely had the worst conditions. I jumped no.4 head first into driving rain, could hardly see it! Still, you and I managed to survive the experience and do well. Congrats on your 5th place! I was dead chuffed with my 8th as that's our first dc at PN. Didn't seem to be many clear rounds for the show jumping at all.

As ever, the xc at Gleneagles was really well dressed. Fingers crossed for Novice next year.

Hey all, mixed bag on Sunday. Did dressage in pouring rain... that rain that gets you wet - and with the two fighter jets doing a continuous fly-by! Anyway, got 46 which is ok for us however had thought it was worth slightly better - then went to sj and lost a shoe in the practice ring, tracked down farrier at top speed, got shoe back on and decided to take it easy round the sj course - lovely clear round but 13 time penalties - I nearly died, man I wasn't walking!!! But after a query with the judge at the end who had actually remembered me, said it was very collected, which I suppose is true as I did use all available space to avoid anymore shoe losses. Then onto XC fab round, woo hoo'd over no. 15 the big brush fence as my cuddy doesn't believe in brushing and finished with a score of 59.

Other than that had a blast as always - the boy keeps doing me proud!

Well done on your 8th too Noodlejaffa, what conditions to get your first DC! I was happy enough with 5th but still disappointed as I didnt think our dressage was as bad as the mark I got, and Im fed up with our dressage anyway - we have really got to work on it this winter as its letting us down all the time!

Funny we ended up in the same section! Yeah, I started warming up for the XC as the rain started then it was actually driving rain by the time I started. I couldnt see number 1 and as for number 2 - jeez, I just vaguelly pointed in where I thought the fence was and kicked. The last half was fine in the trees though. It was a tad dangerous! We must have been insane.

I thought the XC was very short, the fences were very close together compared to most courses but it still rode pretty well and held up well in the conditions.

Loz1 - Well done, which class where you doing?

I'm with you on the dressage. For once I felt I'd actually ridden quite a nice test and D was really responding to me. Judge's comments reflected this, but the marks didn't. Hey ho!

Maybe it was a judge that didn't like grey horses!!

Was in the intro, i've decided to stick to that this year, no point in running before I can walk! Felt dressage was harsh too so i agree with you both - that will be this winters homework, sorting out my dressage.

Well done to you both

Loz x
