me and my friend have been looking on the internet at some stuff! and we have decided to buy some glitter hoof oil/varnish. we will be buying robinsons own brand stuff :) we were wondering if any of you have used it before, and also can you leave it on or do you have to take it off?
we have never used anything like this before... so anything about it is appreciated :)
 
I bought some in their sale once , it comes off fine but don't get any in the lid or on the thread otherwise you will never be able to use it again
 
Haha my friend used some from the local tack shop on her two ponies - she could not get it off at all, she tried nail polish remover the lot!! The only thing that got it off was the farrier rasping the feet in the end.... which she wasnt impressed with as he was shod a couple of days before she put the polish on so had to wait 6 weeks before it was removed and go to shows with it on (was very funny to see the glitter coming through the black hoof oil she attempted to cover it up with and catching the sun). Just as a quick warning mabye test it the day before the farrier comes and make sure your stuff comes off :p
 
I don't like this sort of stuff, the hoof is too important to muck about with, particularly just for cosmetic fancy, water is all we ever put on our hooves now, oils and grease are not really helpful.
 
Why would you want to use this stuff? Agree with andyspooner.
Go and buy a " my little pony" if you want to glitter them up
