Hello shoppers! I'm looking for some pink glitter hoof oil for a Xmas present for a 7 year old girl and her princess palomino pony. Does anyone have any recommendations.

Failing that would I be able to make my own using a clear hoof oil and mixing in loads of pink glitter?

I'm so ashamed! I've just been on the pet boutique site and bought horrifically bright glittery stuff. Its for the kids to use on their ponies. The kids will be ecstatic, the ponies will be deeply embarrassed!

I made my own last year with a pot of glitter (ebay 99p) and clear hoof oil stayed on really well. Mixed it up in an old pot and still have some glitter left for this years Xmas ride, think ponio quite liked his sparkly feet! :)

Nothing personal but I can't STAND people who dress up animals like they are dolls or something. It shows a lack of respect for the poor animal. It is bad enough that women are happy to have 5 year olds clad in nail varnish and mascara and enter them in those awful pageants. I'm sorry if I sound like a party-pooper, but animals should be treated as such.

Ha you beat me to it!! I can't stand it either and honestly feel if kids want to play with their ponies in such a way they should have a " my little pony" to glitter up not a real one.

Not a direct go at you op as I know nothing about you it's just the subject as a whole :)

A tiny bit of glitter on a ponies hooves is hardly showing disrespect. No one is talking about dressing them in tutus and ribbons! I have 3 children and 3 ponies who spend hours together having a mutually fantastic time. The ponies are rescues and I'm sure they would prefer a loving, safe home that might occasionally involve a bit of glitter, to their previous state! Or maybe I should have left the ponies where they were and got my kids 'my little ponies' to spare the real ponies the worse horror of slightly sparkly hooves!
