Noticed in the past couple of days that my boy is having a severe reaction to the rape-seed fields that have been growing around us.

He's not too bad in the field and he's not a head-shaker, but it's the horrible cough that happens when he does faster work.
It's got to be the rape-seed fields as it's only started happening when the fields started flowering.

He's currently on 4 tablets of Piriton (two in the morning, two at night), but it's not easing the cough and I've heard some good things about both of these products.

So I'm debating on whether or not to put him on either of these, or there is also NAF's Kof-Eze or Respirator Boost.

Does anyone have any advice about this?
 
My boy has gone off his feeds and a couple of weeks ago coughed for a short time when asked to do some fast work. He had some discharge from his nose but that has now cleared. He has slowly started to eat again. It has not affected his performance,still works well.

A friend of mine suggested using some "New Era salts for Hay fever" I got mine from Holland and Barrett. It cost me £5.45p, you need to double the Adult dose,so that is 8 tablets three times a day. They are tiny tablets so easy to give.
 
I have used airway plus with vet medicine when horse had bad cough /chest infection ,it was quite good but difficult to get ,so changed to CLARITY from FEEDMARK which is excellent .they will send you free sample so you can be sure your horse will eat it, our horse is not good with pollen or rapeseed but this product does help ,it is herbal and the horses love it.
