Has anyone tried it? My horse suffers from fly bites, despite being kept covered up most of the time and I thought this might be worth a try......but boy does it stink!! Smells more like something you shoud be painting on their feet than putting in their feed. I have worked up to nearly 1 scoop of it but he is meant to have 2 scoops twice a day & I dont think I am ever likely to persuade him to eat that amount. He is normally a VERY good eater and I am feeling a bit guilty for putting such revolting stuff in his food

Unfortunately unless you can feed the recomended dose it is probably not worth feeding at all and you will be wasting your money. I tried a similar product once and none of my horses would touch it. Then i worked out that for the cost of 6-8 months supplementation i could buy a hell of a lot of fly repellant and a rug!

I know you are tryingto help the fly bites but if your horse really doesnt want to eat it then theres not a lot you can do.

I have heard that it doesn’t work from quiet a few people so I didn’t bother trying it. I don’t know if they were using the full dose though.

I would give up and feed Yea-Sacc. I swear by it and haven't seen a single fly bite on my horse since I started using it.

My ned suffers from pollen allergy from about June to August and develops a hacking dry cough - my vets have confirmed that it's not something that needs an inhaler. But it DOES interfere with dressage tests! Enter at A, allowing the horse to snatch his head down and pull the reins out of your hands while he coughs his lungs up lol! So I'm trying him on Global Herbs Pollinex. As your Fly Free Joss, it stinks and I certainly wouldn't eat it. And like your ned, Sunny thinks I'm trying to poison him and refuses to eat. But it bloody cost £lots so he's gonna eat it if it kills me! So I have bought a few cartons of Tescos El Cheapo apple juice and I put a slug of that in with his feed to disguise the taste. Eats every scrap without even looking up! Mwah ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!! Me 1, Sunny 0 xxx

I think all the GH products stink terribly. I started using their breath easy product and thought he would not touch it but he has been fine with it...better than when I tried him on garlic and he would not touch it at all.

I have used it in the past with sucess but it does need the full dose and takes a while to work. I did also find it quite expensive to keep up all summer.
