has anyone tried this, does it work?

I called them and got a sample, boy it has a pungent smell, i thought something had burnt in my room.

I also got a sample of the bitecream. Any experiences/thought would be appriciated.

Thanks

That's weird. Is it in a big white bucket that you leave out? I think I just walked past one of those in the triangle field tonight and passed it off as a salt lick. It was pretty well devoured though and I've seen them have a good rummage in there and slurp away at it.

no its a powder, they sent me a sample in a little jiffy bag and i cannot get over how much it reeks

im a bit worried that my poor pony will smell like this stuff, if it does not work well then it will just be adding insult to injury. If it really does work then brilliant, he is not all that keen on his garlic and at the mo i am applying lots of fly spray daily and coopers fly lotion every few days.

I did some house sitting last summer for a woman who swore by it, to be honest her horses ate it no probs it stunk and reminded me of curry powder! But sorry global herbs i dont think it did a thing every time i went to the field they still had flies on them and really swarming round their head, and i was giving them the correct dosage, my advice would be save your money and buy a fly mask, cheaper! Although having said that round this area where we live is particulary bad for flies especially when we have had rain and then sun comes out, most of our horses in this area where a mask, but good luck any way trying the fly free, Iam just telling you my experience.

I used it last year as the previous one my mare really suffered with mite bites all over her legs and midge bits all over her body. It stinks and as she is fussy (won't eat garlic) I thought she wouldn't touch it but she did and it really helped. I still used a fly rug and mask and she did manage to stay out without coming in looking eaten alive. I would've used it again this year but she is in foal and I didn't want to add anything into her feeds which might affect foalie.
