I recently purchased some Airways and Weez which my normally waste disposal unit aka horse refused to eat (and regarded every subsequent bowl suspiciously).

I contacted GH after really trying all sorts of combinations and additives, and they offered to exchange the items, free of charge, for something else. Very impressed. My horses have never been fussy eaters so I have never been faced with throwing anything out, but really balked at chucking out £60 worth of supplements.

Also, if anyone can recommend something for a dusty cough it would be much appreciated.

That's really good! My mare didnt particularly like the calming one but she did eat just not so readily. The equine america ones are good, there are two airways and coffless, I used one last year but I can't remember which one it worked but it absolutely stunk! The smell got in your hair and people kept asking what the funny smell was and I kept having to say it was me because of my horse, the other one doesnt smell so bad and works too so maybe someone will know on here which is the smelly one, I'd like to know as I think I'm going to have to start using it again!

I find with GH that the trick is to add it very slowly and I bought a tub of mint to add too, by the time the mint was finished they were eating the full dose of GH with no problems, it is very strong smelling but if you can get it into them their products are very effective!

I have the same problem as do lots of people with global herbs you would have thought they would have found a way of making the supplements more tasty as they loose business.

I now feed think clear instead mine would also not eat ventilate either and he is normally a greedy boy.

Mine have always been ok with GH stuff I use a lot of various stuff from there and find them very effective. He just didn't like the "woodsy" smell of the airways and he wouldn't get anywhere near the wheez. Think I will try something not so strong smelling next time - would be useful to also know which is which out of the equine america supplements!

Martlin - thanks will take a look at the equistro one I have heard good things about their stuff though never tried anything yet.

Maggies mum - I tried adding just a bit and he could still smell it and went on hunger strike meaning I had to throw out his feed (with all of his other v expensive supplements out). I also added other stuff to disguise the taste and he could still smell it and refused to eat. It has a very odd woodsy smell about it.

SO1 - GH will send out an additive to make it more palatable but mine is intolerant to sugar so didn't want to risk it. Think mine has allergies the coughing started round spring time.

Smartiebean09 - I like feedmark stuff will have a look thanks for the suggestion.

I've used their products for years and have found them to be very effective, and the company is very helpful too. CBAnglo - when people say, put in just a bit to start with, I think they really do mean a bit!! My mare is super fussy and turns up her nose very easily, so when I introduced her to ButeX, I literally added just a pinch for the first few feeds, then two pinches and so on.

Stinky had a bit of a cough earlier in the year, he also gets the occasional dry cough when in over winter, and I feed dry hay - soaking is not easy on my yard.

Put him on Feedmark's clarity and the cough went and did not return. He is off it now he is living out 24 x 7, plus it has garlic in it which I want to avoid in summer as he gets SI.

I dont think they should loose business, as as with any supplement it should only be introduced to the diet very gradually anyways.

My mare is on two Global Herbs products, she is not a fussy eater at all (in fact she is a pig!) but she refused to eat her GH supplements. I intruduced it very very slowly (litterly grain by grain!) over a 3 week period until she now eats the full dose of each. Their supplements are excellent and they are the only ones that have ever made any difference to my mare.
