I found what I think is ragwort in my hay last night - I'm 99% sure it is ragwort.
Obviously I've taken the hay off the horses but I'm terrified it's too late - they aren't showing any symtoms.
Global Herbs do a product called Ragaid that is meant to counteract the efffects of ragwort posioning does anyone know if this product actually works or am I clutching at straws.
I had no reason to doubt my hay supplier as I've had hay off him for years. Is there anywhere I can send what I've found to be tested to confirm it is ragwort. I don't want to accuse them until I'm 100% sure, I've been friends with the people I get my hay off for about 14 years.
Does anyone actually know how much ragwort a horse has to eat before the signs appear, some web sites say 2lbs others say 4% of the horses bodyweight.
I've been up all night as I'm convinced I'm going to lose them.
