Has anyone here used this? And did it send your horse a bit loopy??

I've been wondering what on Earth has happened to my mare the last few weeks. Thought first that she had her last season, but it's quite a while now, and she's still prancing about. It's not that she's really bad and uncontrollable (though she's not ridden at the moment - rehab - so who knows)... just... well... excitable. Like she's on caffeine (espresso not latte) or something.

I noticed that her behavior changed just after the first dosage, and it made me wonder. Searched online, and some people have had a similar experience, so just wondered whether any of you have had this happen, too.

Well, it is supposed to make them feel better and sort out their sluggish metabolism, liver & kidneys so I would think it was a good thing. There is nothing in it to make them loopy... however, having said that, you are giving a horse a herbal solution which has not been subject to a rigorous trial so anecdotes are relied upon to guide.

My boy has liver disease and it puts him back to his (normal) whappy self! Ive had him all his life so I know hes a live wire naturally. Did you buy your mare as an adult? Could she have been feeling a little lethargic when you bought her and the restore has just revitalised her? I'd rather my boy was lively and well than feeling down and poor.

Can't say I've ever noticed anything and I've used it for years, but a tub of the veteran supplement and she was doing elderly-style hoons in the field for a week. Well it does say it revitalizes them!

not loopy no. Ive used it on a new 2 yr colt I had that was pretty poor, quiet and dejected. He perked up on it as he improved condition, but he was never really one to go loopy anyway.

I've had my mare since she was two, but she had injured herself whilst being backed, resulting in a very long period of rest. She's 6 now, and we'd like to get her back her again next year. She was fantastic this summer, lunging and all... completely different from the youngster she used to be.

She developed a sarcoid on her neck, so she's getting Global Herbs Sarc-ex, but as it works better with Global Herbs Restore, I introduced that to her feed, too. She's looking fantastic on it... but I do hope her exuberance is temporary!
