My mare has a little sarcoid and Ihave been treating it with thuja cream and global herbs sarc-ex. Now I'm into my third tub of sarc-ex and the sarcoid hasn't changed (I know Global have said when I rang them that this can take months) but I'm just a little sceptical of how a powder that smells like christmas cake mix can make shift a sarcoid and at £23 a fortnight I really wonder if I'm being a bit of a sucker here - would be really grateful to hear your comments and/or experiences with this supplement. Many thanks.

Hmmm... I wondered about this stuff. I thought about feeding it when one of my boys sarcoids went a bit nasty last summer (irritation from flies or something vet said) - but like you, I just cant think a powder can do anything! Did GH tell you how it works??

Is it doing anything? I mean, has it gone a bit nasty? When my boys went yucky (bled a bit and went all raw) - I cleaned it daily with salty water and put on Cut Heal which is brilliant stuff. The sarcoid disappeared very quickly and actually ended up smaller than it was before (don't ask how!! the vet said it would probably be bigger than before but no!). But she did mention Liverpool cream for sarcoids - meant to be the only thing proven to help with them. You could ask your vet about it?

Thanks Magicmelon - yes, have to say have noticed it bleeding a tad from the flies - have been plonking the thuja cream on and a blast of fly spray in the surrounding area as a gesture to keep them away - must say the bathing in salty water makes perfect sense as I would do this for any other nick or cut so why not a sarcoid? The Cut Heal, is that the clear stuff you put over wounds to seal them (like a kind of clear "plaster") that you can buy in the chemist? Again, great idea. Stockholm tar was suggested to me to cover the sarcoid but thought we'd end up in a right bloomin mess!
Global explained that the herbs attacked the virus and others could well come up if lying dormant and the sarcoid present could get worse before better. They also said to use the sarc-ex three months AFTER the sarcoid has disappeared to ensure it's well and truely gone. Umm....not convinced, surely this stuff would be better known than it is for it to work so wonderfully???!! Will ask the vet about the Liverpool cream, her jabs are due soon so was going to kill one bird so to speak. Thanks again.
