Hello!

Nothing definite yet but in case it happens would anyone be interested in having their pony/horse kept in a Paddock paradise track? (Paddock paradise in Spring/Summer and inside of the field divided in smaller fields in Autumn/Winter)

Horse/pony would have to be barefoot/unshod and owner would need to have a more "natural" approach to horsemanship/how to keep horses so everyone can get on :-)

Thanks.

I think you will have interest, I run a similar system in Herefordshire and it works very well. I use the middle for the non-fatties in summer though :)

I had to google it to find out what you meant, so a link might be useful? Sadly I am too far away from you, sounds like a good idea :)

Thank you, here is a link with videos to show the principles of the PP :-)

It is a way of getting horses moving a lot more than when they are in a field where they can just help themselves of grass without much effort and without having to move much!
The Paddock Paradise "makes" them move a lot more because it is a track with not a lot or no grass at all.
They have to go a bit everywhere to find there food (usually hay) and then go back to the water, go somewhere elese for the salt etc...I'm not very good at explaining but they are lots of info in that link and also on the Paddock paradise website.

Hi there (think we have seen you trotting in the park!)
Sounds a fab idea, something we would love to do if we could get our hands on some land! The prob we have is that although we would love to livery somewhere with a track system, is that we also use the school alot, so I don't think it is something we can possibly find! Would be interested to know more and know your location though if you wouldn't mind pming me?
