Does anyone use Glucosamine for thier horses? My Chiropractor (human) recomended it for my horse as he is recovering from damaging his ligaments in his back legs.

Are there any brands in particular that are good?

Cheers!

Hi there,

My horse is on cortaflex as she has arthritis but after reading soem of the posts on here I am going to try her on NAF Superflex as apparently it has the highest dosage of Glucosamine per scoop. They need to get 10mg a day apparently or it does no good. I also give her pure distilled MSM.

No it doesnt. It only has 4.6 grammes in the maintenance dose and 9.2 in the higher dose. Cortaflex is even worse! Tiny % of active ingredient if you read the label.

Synequine is good but expensive. Arthriaid from nutriscience is the best value off the shelf tub with sufficient active ingredient
