Hi my lovely ISH/connie is a big moving supple horse. He lives out 24/7 which I guess helps. He only has a small feed of pure easy and unmolased sugar beet
a few weeks ago he was a bit flat but now with a clip he is back to himself. I would like to keep him supple so any ideas what to feed? I have heard Glucosamine is a bit dated now and there are better things out there. I could just leave as he is- he is 9 and competing BE100 aiming for Novice

Keeping your horse out as much as you can (as you already are) will help with his joints, I am doing the same with mine who has arthritis and she is still out at night, hopefully for at least another week or two yet. She runs out of grass tonight where I have been strip grazing it so boredom will possibly kick in a determine she is in earlier than anticipated!

I've always been led to believe that Glucosamine is best fed with Chrondroitin as the two work best together and this link explains that plus the other ingredients you are likely to find in joint supplements.

I feed this joint supplement which at the moment has a deal whereby if you purchase a tub you can 50% off a 3KG tub of tumeric too. The jury's out for me on whether the tumeric works but I thought I'd try it. My horse has been on the glucosamine joint supplement for about 10 years now.
