God...I actually can't get any hay!!

No. I don't understand this. I've been buying haylage from the same person, for the same price, that I was paying two years ago.... I think this hay shortage is a myth!

Same here.
Mind you, every year they talk about a hay shortage.

I have never had one yet, which is good!

Perhaps certain areas are suffering? That would be a bummer for those in those areas.

Our hay supplier says he has got more than in previous years so that is not a problem, but the price has gone up. We are paying £3.00 a bale now, £2.50 last year.

WOW!!!! Bales here are £4.50!!!

We are paying a fiver a bale and my YO won't go to another supplier. Unfortunately there isn't any storage at the yard or I would buy my own (cheaper!) in

No shortage here but we pay £6.50- £7.00 for large square bales. We only have two feed merchants up here and although the suplier we don't use sells it for £5.00 a bale, its dusty adn old looking adn Min refused to eat it when I did buy it. Ended up chucking it over the fence to livery owner's sheep (with his permission!)!

We have no problems here either, although we still have plenty of grass too. friend has over 1000 small bales of haylege to sell too.

7 quid for large squares??? Holy moly you'd be on a winner there if they are nice! They are usually at least £25 or £30 each; maybe that's why the other ones were so rubbish??

I have no trouble getting hay as we have a hay farm.
