We had the most fantastic day today 
400 bird day for some city boys who were having a day out in the country
Both my dogs were bloody fantastic!!
On the last drive me and another picker up got 84 birds
and on the second drive I reckon it was even more but didn't get a chance to count them but I had both carriers full, I even put a load of birds on each lead and had my hands full!
My dogs were brilliant today
And just to top it all off, I rushed home, tacked up my mare and caught up with the hunt - we have evening cubbing here - far more civilised than early morning
My mare was brilliant as usual - the evening sun was shining on the heather, the hounds were screaming in the valley - it was spectacular
