I haven't been up there but I have heard they are watering the SJ arena and doing work on the XC course. Apparently they are also using the 'meadow' out the back which should have softer going.

I am up there on Saturday, I will run Dressage and SJ then see how the ground is XC, hopefully it will be good!

Good luck if you are going!

Hi all,

I walked round the 80 course this evening. This is on the tradition course (not over the meadows). Its ok, I wouldnt want it to be too much harder, but all of the take offs and landings are prepared so no rutts.

The water meadows going should (I havent walked it) be lovely- it is always wetter there than anywhere else- I hacked over there a couple of weeks ago and it was lovely- almost squishy in places- so Id imagine by now its perfect.

hope that helps- and yes the course looks great!

If anyone's in any doubt as to the suitability of the course, why not 'phone David Sayer and ask? He's a most amenable bloke, and will happily field any questions, I feel certain.

Thanks for that folks.

Alec, Im going to walk it myself and let my own feet decide.

TBH I wouldnt put David in the position of saying whether its great..or not... incase that makes him liable in anyway should people be swayed one way or the other by the organiser himself ;) and besides..thats what this forum us for..discussion. :)

ETS that sounds a bit grumpy but its not meant to !! I mean it most sincerely :D
