My mare is going away for some training to hopefully produce her as a WHP. I've never sent one away before though, so I'm wondering what I should send her with!?

Tack needs to go with, and some rugs (which rugs!? She lives out in a 150g atm).

Definitely ask the people who are going to be training her. My experience so far has been they want very little as per dorsetladette's comment, they have little storage space and also it can be hard to track everyone's property so they've used their own kit. All I've been asked for is a lw stable rug.

You're brave. I don't think I'd have the nerve to send one of mine away, now.
I've always done them myself.
However, I'm sure you've done your due diligence in choosing her staff.
Any chance of a picture of her?

I know ? I backed her myself and am really precious about her as she's my pride and joy, but I'm just not finding the time to give her the consistency she needs right now. She's only 20 mins away and I plan to see her twice a week and watch her be worked. Everyone local has good things to say about the lady she is going to aswell.

When Dave went away for schooling I was asked to send his tack, any rugs he wears (he doesn't wear any, but I sent a cooler / fleece in case he needed drying off) & just any feed specific to him. They would supply his chaff / speedibeet.
Maybe slightly different in that I visited every day as I was learning along with him, but definitely do consider the space & storage that the yard has.

Lovely looking pony FC. I like a nice kind eye.

Can I ask where that indoor is? there isn't many round us and that one looks rather swanky.

Generally when taking in unbacked ones, I used to ask for pony/horse in a headcollar with (time of year dependant) 2 x outdoor rugs and 1 x indoor rug if needed. If boots etc were needed, then they came out of my yard supplies.
I did ask owners to bring the tack they wanted to use with them, and I checked saddle fit before little dobbin was left with me. Sometimes tack was left, other times not.
I also wanted to check when feet, teeth and saddle fit etc had been done (if at all) and if so, who by.
That was a good number of yrs ago now, but doubt much has changed on that score.

FC, nice Fuzzy :)
