Going back to basics

Hi as you may have read in my earlier posts i purchased my boy in October but due to the weather i haven't been able to do much with him.

He has quiet a personality, his manners are terrible, he drags me out of his stable and along the yard, i don't let go and a few sharp tugs and he's ok, he wont stand still to be tied up, tried everything from mini rears to swinging around, i would like to get him out of this as he nearly trampled me yesterday. Could i have some tips to work with him please as I've got very attached to him, i can groom and brush in the stable and free standing, but i would ideally like to do this when he is tied as there are other horses about and for safely reasons. thanks

p.s tried the haynet, he's not interested.

I had this problem, and i tried giving him horse-lyx (green one) and he loved it and stood still. I'd give it to him less and less, and reward him when he went without it - quiet as a mouse!! Good luck
