Hi,
I hope someone will be able to help me.
I would like to go away with my horse for a few days in the spring. I live in Surrey so would like to go somewhere in the South East.

Do you know a place where we could go and join a group for hacks during the day and nice adult conversation in the evening or maybe somewhere where I could have lessons and improve my flat work and start jumping again?

I have never taken my horse anywhere, I am not a competitive person and rather a nervous rider so I need a friendly, sympathetic instructor/bunch of people.

Thanks for any recommendations.

i'm a TOTAL nervous rider. petrified in fact, and i'm desperate to learn stuff, and more importantly try to have fun again on my horse. so... i've booked myself into HORSECAMP (woohay... gulp)

look on the active riders website. there is a special confidence giving one in june. but it's too far from me. i'm going to the milton keynes one in august, but they run them all over the country i think.

i'm properly petrified, but everyone that goes on camp says it's great for confidence... gulp...

Thanks, will have a look at active riders and the Pachesham link!

Adult camp seems fun... but very scary too.
I guess once you are there with like-minded people, as nervous as you are and competent instructors it is ok and then afterwards you are probably very proud of yourself...

Anyway I wish you all lots of fun with your horses wherever you are going!
